Knorr-Bremse chief executive steps down

Bernd Eulitz became CEO of Knorr-Bremse AG on 18 September 2019 and resigned on 20 August 2020.

Bernd Eulitz, chief executive of Knorr-Bremse, has resigned from the post he only took up in September 2019.

The reason given is a profound difference of opinion between Bernd Eulitz and the chairman of the supervisory board, Prof Dr Klaus Mangold, which has made it impossible for Mr Eulitz to continue.

His resignation will take effect from 31 August 2020 and a search has already started for his successor.

Prof Dr Klaus Mangold,
Knorr-Bremse.

In the meantime, executive board members Dr Peter Laier, Frank Markus Weber and Dr Jürgen Wilder will take over the responsibilities of Mr Eulitz.

Prof Dr Klaus Mangold said: “We are now looking for an entrepreneurial personality who, together with the other board members, will lead Knorr-Bremse successfully, based on its convincing corporate strategy and above-average performance.

“We expect to announce more details of the succession in the coming weeks.”
