Jeremy Long has announced that he will retire as CEO of MTR’s European business on 30 September 2020 after 15 years.

He joined MTR in May 2005 to establish its business in Europe, and has overseen its progressive development in UK and Sweden over this period.  During this time, MTR won a number of contracts including London Overground and the Elizabeth Line (TfL Rail) in the UK, and Tunnelbanan, Stockholm’s Metro system, in Sweden.

Looking back over his time with MTR, Jeremy Long said: “I am very proud of what we have achieved over these last 15 years, and want to say thank you to all the brilliant colleagues who have played their part in this.

“MTR has established a deserved reputation for customer service and operational focus. There is considerable potential for MTR to continue to grow its business here as the European rail markets evolve.”
