Police Dog Frankie has every right to have a smile on her face.
When reports came in to British Transport Police of two men trespassing on the railway in Essex, Frankie went to investigate.
She found them lying in some undergrowth, complete with seven bags of spray paint, cameras, graffiti designs and face masks. She therefore prevented a crime – criminal damage of the railway infrastructure – and also potentially saved the men from putting themselves at risk on a live railway. Graffiti ‘artists’ are amongst those trespassers killed on the railway every year.
