LNER reinstates Hull services

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has stepped into the gap left by the suspension of Hull Trains services and has reinstated its own service from Hull to London and back.

The LNER services had been dropped as part of the reduction in the timetable due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), leaving Hull Trains to keep essential travellers moving.  However, now that Hull Trains has stopped running, LNER has brought one of its services back to serve Hull, Selby, Brough and London King’s Cross.

In addition, an extra service between Hull and Doncaster has been brought into the timetable to assist key workers who need to travel around Yorkshire.

The new/additional services are:

  • 05:47 Doncaster to Hull
  • 06:58 Hull to London King’s Cross
  • 17:18 London King’s Cross to Hull
  • 20:29 Hull to Doncaster

All will be operated by LNER’s bi-mode Azuma trains. Hull Trains tickets will be accepted as mutual ticket acceptance is already in place as part of the temporary reduced timetable.
