DB Cargo promotes digital transformation with new appointment

Rohan Kapoor is joining DB Cargo as chief information and digitalisation officer from National Grid

Rohan Kapoor BEng MBA has been announced as DB Cargo’s new chief transformation and digitalisation officer in a bid to improve the company’s operational efficiency and customer service.

Previously the IT director in charge of digital transformation at National Grid, Rohan will join the company with immediate effect. He has extensive experience of delivering large-scale IT transformations to help companies achieve business critical objectives, with over 16 years of experience in digital strategy, cost optimisation, change implementation, and global project management.

In making the announcement, DB Cargo UK’s chief executive Andrea Rossi said: “DB Cargo UK is delighted to welcome Rohan at a time when we’re looking to accelerate our plans to introduce greater automation and digitalisation into the business.

“These are challenging times for the rail freight sector and the work Rohan will be leading on will deliver more innovative, cost effective and agile solutions that will enhance the experience of both our colleagues and our customers.”
