Alstom’s new headquarters for the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region in Berlin opened officially on 18 April 2023.
The new offices cover 5,400 square meters and up to 500 employees from over 40 countries will work there. They will focus on digitalising the rail industry in the region and, using the state-of-the-art testing facilities, will further develop Alstom’s train control system for the European Train Control System (ETCS) and work towards more efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly transport.
Taking part on the opening ceremony were Müslüm Yakisan (president DACH region), Henri Poupart-Lafarge (chairman and CEO), Michael Theurer (Federal Commissioner for Rail Transport), Stephan Schwarz (Berlin State Senator) and François Delattre (French Ambassador to Germany)
