Train operator C2C has released the shortlisted images entered for its City to Coast Views photography competition.
South Essex and London locals have submitted photos of their favourite views from Southend and London, in an effort to win a £250 Intu Lakeside voucher in Trenitalia-owned train operator c2c’s City to Coast Views competition.
Entrants were asked to submit a photo they had taken of their favourite view along the route – the view had to be within a five-mile radius of one of C2C’s stations – and say why they love they view so much.
Perhaps the place holds special memories for them, or maybe it’s their favourite spot in the town they’re proud to call home. Whatever the reason, their feelings should come through in their photographs.
The six shortlisted entries for Essex showcase the coast in all its natural beauty and include views of a sunrise over Southend, Southend’s iconic pier and a family day out at the seaside. The five entries for London focus on iconic structures, including the “Walkie Talkie” and Leadenhall Market.
The winner of the competition, and of the £250 prize, will be announced by 22 September 2019.
Three runners up will win pairs of tickets to either Shrek’s Adventure, SEA LIFE London, or the London Dungeon.
