Harting Technology Group is a leading global provider of industrial connectivity with around 6,000 employees across the world in 42 sales companies, 14 production facilities and seven development sites.
The company has now opened a 7,000-square-metre technology centre in Bangalore, popularly known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’. The new facility will focus on research and development, aiming to meet the demand for advanced connector solutions in the region.
The desire to become a global company has been part of Harting’s mission statement since 1996.
“We are consistently pushing ahead with our internationalisation,” explained Philip Harting, CEO of the Harting Technology Group.
“With our latest opening in India, we are living up to our motto ‘In the Region for the Region’ and at the same time taking another step towards becoming a global player for connector and cable solutions.”
Harting previously opened a sales office in Chennai in 2005 and a production plant in 2022. In addition, Harting India has further sales offices in Bangalore, Pune and Noida.
“We are very excited to establish our technology center in Bangalore, a city known for its dynamic technical ecosystem and skilled workforce,” said Jacob Chandy, managing director of Harting India.
“This facility will not only expand our R&D capabilities, but also strengthen our collaboration with local partners and customers.
“We believe that innovation is the key to staying ahead in today’s fast-paced market, and this centre will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver high-quality connection solutions.”
