A Lola's Cupcakes stand at King's Cross Underground station - but how did it get there?

Whenever you’ve seen a catering vendor somewhere in a station, particularly in an underground station or up on a mezzanine floor, have you ever wonder how the stand got there?

They look too big to get into a lift, and there are often no ramps to use (despite stations promising Access for All).

All is now explained after WS Solutions published an image of one in transit – they take them up and down the stairs!

The answer is – down the stairs! The Movex T66 in action…

The neat piece of kit concerned is a Movex TT66 stair-climbing machine, and the photo showed one of them taking a 500kg Lola’s Cupcakes retail stand down the stairs of an underground station.
