DB Cargo signs three-year contract with Puma Energy

DB Cargo UK has signed a new three-year contract with Puma Energy to transport fuel from ports to inland terminals.

DB Cargo UK has signed a new three-year contract with Puma Energy (UK) for rail haulage and the supply of rail tank wagons .

This arrangement continues the existing partnership between DB Cargo and Puma Energy and involves the transportation of more than one million tonnes of fuel each year from Milford Haven and Immingham to fuel terminals at Theale in Reading and Westerleigh, Bristol.

Each train of up to 30 rail wagons is capable of transporting over three million litres of fuel to Puma Energy’s fuel terminals, providing cost-effective, reliable and sustainable transport and keeping heavy lorries off the road.

DB Cargo UK account manager David Munt said: “The signing of this new contract is a credit to the team at DB Cargo UK who deliver a great service to Puma Energy.

“Over the next three years we look forward to further the growing the volumes we transport by rail for Puma Energy.”
