Richard Walker moves to Dyer & Butler

Dyer & Butler, the multi-disciplined engineering services specialist focused on essential infrastructure including airports, railways and highways, and part of M Group Services, has announced the appointment of Richard Walker as chief operating officer.

Richard will assume overall responsibility for all Dyer & Butler operations across the UK rail, aviation, highways and support infrastructure markets. He will report to Neil Edwards, the M Group Services managing director of transport, who commented: “Richard brings a wealth of transport sector experience to this role and his appointment will provide Dyer & Butler with additional strategic support to deliver its aspired growth.

“Richard’s arrival will also allow me to devote more of my time to reinforcing our continued growth across the Group’s wider transport division. I wish Richard every success in his new role.”

Previously business director for major rail projects at Amey, Richard also spent time as route delivery director in the East Midlands for Network Rail.

In addition to Dyer & Butler, the M Group Services transport division also includes Antagrade Electrical, a leading provider of specialist railway electrification infrastructure services, and KH Engineering Services, a mechanical and electrical engineering specialist for the rail and wider transport sectors.
