Franco Beretta has been named as the new president and managing director of Bombardier Transportation Italy. He will hold this position in addition to his existing role as region leader, Mediterranean.
Since joining the company in 1990, Franco Beretta has held various roles in project management and sales. From 2005, he spent six years in industry with Trenitalia and Casram before returning to Bombardier in 2011 as project director for the ETR1000-V300 Zefiro project.
In July 2019, Mr Beretta was appointed as region leader, Mediterranean, with full responsibility for sales and project delivery in Italy and Iberia, a role he keeps alongside his new position as president and managing director for Italy.
